Three sessions. One chance to train directly with a USA Eagle, All-American Coach, and Clemson Director of Rugby. Small group. Filmed. Real feedback. Tangible outcomes you take home.
What's Included
This is not a large group camp where you stand in a line and wait your turn. Maximum 10 athletes means Coach Troy is actually watching you — your technique, your decisions, your game — and giving you feedback that means something.
Every athlete leaves with film, baselines, individual feedback, and a set of training resources they can act on immediately. This is a session that keeps giving after you go home.
And yes — everyone gets a personalised Gilbert rugby ball. Because the details matter.
Per Session
3 hours on-field coaching with Troy. Film. Baselines. Individual feedback. Plus a Gilbert rugby ball, running plan, nutrition guide, and 8-week S&C programme. One session delivers more than most athletes get in a full season.

Three sessions. Maximum development. One serious commitment.
Three sessions across September, October, and November gives you a full pre-season development block. Every session builds on the last — your baselines improve, your film tells a story, and your feedback gets sharper each time.

These sessions bring in one of the best forwards coaches in American rugby. Mike Brown joins Troy at The Pier to run a dedicated block on the contact game, tackle technique, and set piece — the areas that separate prepared athletes from unprepared ones at college level.
Mike Brown brings Major League Rugby experience as both a player and coach — most recently as Assistant Coach and Academy Director at the Houston Sabercats (2022–2025), where he led lineout coaching, forwards technical development, and produced 7 academy players who signed professional MLR contracts.
He played MLR for Austin Elite, RUNY, Houston Sabercats, and Seattle Seawolves (2018–2022), was a Collegiate All-American at Bowling Green State University, and developed his rugby foundation at Selborne College, South Africa. He currently serves as Forwards Coach at St. Thomas, leading scrum and lineouts.
Mike has coached at every level from youth to professional. At Playmaker Sessions, he runs the contact game block — the area most high school athletes are least prepared for when they arrive at college rugby.

Your Coach
Troy Hall is a capped USA international in both 7s and 15s rugby, and currently serves as Head Coach and Director of Rugby at Clemson University. He knows exactly what the college standard looks like — because he sets it every day.
Working with Troy for even one session gives you something most high school players never get — an honest picture of where you sit against the college standard, and exactly what to work on next. That clarity alone is worth the session.
A Note From Troy
Troy Hall Coaching is an independent program run by Troy in a personal capacity, separate from his role at Clemson University. These sessions are open to any serious high school rugby player, regardless of where they want to play college rugby.
Troy Hall Coaching operates independently of Clemson University. Recruiting enquiries should go through official Clemson Rugby channels.
